I visited Newfoundland in May 2008 and stayed six nights at Kay's Chalet B&B. I cannot recall experiencing more tranquil or peaceful surroundings. The wood paneling, the picture windows overlooking a lake, and quiet restful nights all made for a relaxing stay.
Kay is incredibly friendly and good natured, and very hospital. She made me feel at home from the moment I walked in the door. I'm a tea drinker. She made sure I knew where it was kept and I was welcome to make as many cups of tea as I wanted.
... Every meal was delicious! She served partridgeberry jam which she made in her kitchen while I sat at the dining table.
She is particularly proud of the spa bath she provides her guests and with good reason. She fixed one for me after I came back from a day of hiking in the rain. I felt so pampered! Scented candles and hot water spraying from little jets relaxed my tired muscles and revived me. I cannot recommend her highly enough!
